How does fashion sense work in Stardew Valley? ›

Fashion Sense is a mod that allows you to download. Fashion Sense compatible packs. so you can add more clothing, hair, and accessory options into your game. without having to override the default options.

Hats, shirts, and pants are purely cosmetic items, unlocked from collecting certain Achievements or tailored. Rings provide a variety of passive benefits, from providing light to increasing combat stats. Two rings can be equipped at the same time.

Tailoring involves creating new shirts, pants, skirts, shorts, and hats at the sewing machine located inside Emily and Haley's house or the Sewing Machine received as a reward for the "Rock Rejuvenation" special order.

Some notes will list "Loved" gifts for certain characters, while others will have images depicting puzzle solutions. Reading notes that list gift preferences will add the gifts to the villager's Gift Log on the Social tab of the player menu. Secret Notes can be gifted, but they are all universally hated.
